Following a thorough, literacy assessment, Ms. Stephanie will provide a specialized approach to phonics instruction. Orton-Gillingham is the gold standard approach for teaching emergent and struggling readers/writers. Various areas of literacy will be covered during the scheduled, one-hour session, including -
- learning and reviewing letter sounds
- developing strong phonics understanding and decoding skills
- reading "just right" literature
- building skills and confidence in writing
