A thorough, literacy assessment guides instruction along the path that best meets the needs of the student.

Various areas of literacy will be measured, including -

  • phonemic awareness: segmenting, blending, rhyming, initial letter sounds
  • letter identification
  • sight word knowledge
  • reading strategies and comprehension
  • written expression and comfort
  • listening comprehension/spoken language proficiency

Following the 1-hour online assessment, an appointment will be scheduled with Ms. Stephanie to discuss her observations and recommendations for further instruction.
